More importantly, a nice, 2015 Turbo thing.
This is the new, 2015 Malibu 3LT. 3LT is where Malibu's start having the Turbo, and if you go to the LTZ they are only optional. The 2.0L Turbo has 259 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. This car is practical and fun. This vehicle boasts a better 0-60 time than the 323 hp V6 Camaro! (My Co-worker said she now knows where I got my thirst for speed, though) This one also has the new OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot built-in and a 120 Volt house outlet built into the center console.
The one part that my Mother said she will miss is her 2007 Dodge Charger SXT with only 74k miles. She loved the styling and the overall feel of the car. The one thing she told me she will not miss, however, is getting sideways in the snow...and ice...and rain...and damp asphalt. This silly thing really didn't like going straight...
Here, you can see the Charger looking very displeased with her decision. Luckily though, it doesn't get to decide. If it did, she would be sideways in a ditch about now.

EVERY car should have a 120V outlet. It's 2014.

Yeah...I don't know if it's the tires or what, but any time moisture was involved, sideways it went.

I really don't know why so many people hate on this current gen Malibu. I think it's a great looking car with way more power than is responsible for it (just the way I like it!) lol.
I actually feel that the styling is nice too, I think the problem might be that it's a Mid-Size car and people want Sports Car styling on everything. It's just a classy mid-sizer doing it's thing.
For the record, it only has my 07 Milan V6 beat 0-60 by a few tenths of a second. I know because my coworker has one of these Malibu's in Black, with black out tint, and black bow ties.

I honestly think they look great with the new '14 grill. The wider opening looks fresh and more aggressive. It also rides well and you get the MyLink color touchscreen which is pretty easy to use. I just think it's a really nice car.

Lmao @ your mom getting sideways in the Charger, she should make an Oppo post on unintended drifting!

It is and I agree with you about the grille. It can't be all things though, if you want more power or Sport/Muscle Styling, the Camaro is your next stop. It's definitely a nice car though. While my Milan can keep up in a race it has NOTHING on it for styling or interior features. 7 years will do that to you though...

Besides the Malibu being wrong wheel drive, it's an awesome choice!

The 2008-2012 Malibu's looks were completely sorted out. It was attractive enough to set it apart from other midsize offerings, didn't exude any real "muscle" qualities - of which it didn't have - and was an overall clean design. The 2013 looked like a jumbled mess comparatively; The Volt-esque front fascia provided awkward proportions, the rear quarter panel lines were destroyed in an attempt to look sporting and muscular, and the taillights - well the taillights are just damn ugly . They remind me of a mid-aughts Lexus GS.
The 2014 refresh did good work to sort out the front end, but the rest is still too busy, too bulky, too bumbling.

Honestly, I am amazed at how far cars have come in even just a few years. The options that come standard now are amazing. I mean, almost every single New Chevy on our lot has bluetooth and the ability to stream music from your phone. It's been a long time coming and should have been that way before, but man is it convenient!
The one thing the Malibu has on the Camaro...a rear seat that fits people with legs...

Haha, the reason your mother dislikes the Charger is exactly why I would be attracted to one. She had the 3.5 V6? I read it was a dog of a motor, but really don't believe it was that bad.
As for the Malibu, I disliked it a whole lot but I respect it with the Turbo. Also, yesterday I saw a 2012 LTZ Black Turbo with the big 5 spoke wheels and man. I couldn't stop staring at it!

Did you tell her how to open the trunk without turning off the car, taking the key out and pressing the key button? My parents had a base one as a rental car (base engine was thrashy, loud and very slow) and couldn't open the trunk because in 2015 apparently a trunk button in the car is dangerous or something like that.

damn legs, always wanting "room" and stuff lol.
you forgot the other thing though, you can SEE OUT OF IT. Which is a huge Camaro flaw
Hey you guys hear anything about the MPG on the canyon/colorado? I want that canyon sooo bad, GM is stealing me back from Ford (my client) when I buy my next car I think. Caddy or GMC most likely.

Not sure about Colorado mpgs yet but they're making a diesel version for 2016 MY! So torque's AND Mpgs!
And seeing out of a Malibu is a lot easier lol. But I will give them credit for making the Camaro more visible. If you haven't seen a newer one then you have to take a look bc they messed with the mirrors and it did help a little. (A little being the operative term there)

haha I'll check one out next time I have a chance. I'm not a big Diesel guy, fuel is more expensive around here and they cost more to maintain (though I know sometimes that all works out in the long run). But if I could get the V6 4 door 4x4 and it be in the 26+ hwy mpg rating I'd be thrilled.
My current Milan V6 is only rated at 27 mpg hwy, though I can hit 32 at 75 mph if I can get the traffic to part like the red sea and let me ride.

Yeah I'm excited about the Colorado either way. Near me though, diesel is about the same as regular so getting the extra mpgs would be awesome!

oh if those balanced out I might have to jump all over one of those diesels in a few years.
It's about 30 cents more per gallon around here. I think it might still be under the break-even point for most diesels, but I'd have to have the MPG to really check the numbers.
